It's that time again....oh yes, this Momma is sososo excited for this time of year!!!

It's almost Football Season!!!

Can I get a woot-woot???

Yea baby...We are soooo pumped here at Drama central, Nate has stated football practice in a new town, with new players, (and thank goodness new parents)and...and people...get this.....
Our new team has been to the Championships and WON it...many many times!!!

We are talking playin for the best!!!
This league is not a sign up, pay, and then your kid may/may not play kinda system...this is not oh your Mom's team Mom and your kid gets to play....

Noooo sir, this is you gotta try out, make an effort, show them you wanna win, that you got what it takes to be the best...(they take only the best...how else you going to win championship after championship??)
And yes, my son made the cut, made the team, and is welcomed with open arms....
I'm so stinkin excited!!!
We had our 1st practice yesterday...It was amazing!!! Those coaches are sooo unbelievable, my son was pumped and wanted to play....He wanted to be on that team and so did every other kid out there!!

I saw no one whining, crying, griping cause it was hot (and it was HOT) nothing, because they know this is what it takes to be a championship team!!

Here's the boys after their 1st practice, we took them to Subway for a healthy & cool lunch after the wind, rain, & heat we had that morning!! They are sooo tired but loved every minute of it!!!

This is a whole other level of playing for him and this league is endorsed by the NFL...How awesome is that?? I'm so proud of my son and his friends, this is going to be one season they (and Momma) will never forget!!


No more "home pee-wee" crap for us, we hittin the big time now!!...

Nothing starts my day off like the weather sirens, which by the way are 2 houses down from ours, to go off not once but twice before 5am...
Seriously, everyone in my house was up and of course, in our bed by 5:02...Oh that made for such a wonderful way to start my day!!
Then after the siren is the uber creepy voice "warning weather alert, seek shelter immediately"
Oh good Lord if ya weren't havin a nightmare, your having one now!!
Why cant they get a sweet grandmotherish type to say
"baby-cakes take shelter now, the rain is a comin"...
I mean really why does the voice have to be so scary???
My kids were more afraid of that darn voice than of the actual storm...
Plus the sirens, creepy voice, etc..goes off 20 minutes before the actual storm is even here!!! I was little upset at the fact EVERYONE was up and freakin out of bed 20minutes before we even heard rain!!
Jeesh...and some of my friends even got phone calls at 4:30am...Don't sign me up for that program....no thanks!!
I know the city is trying to do us a favor by warning us about storms, tornadoes, etc..but really a sweet voice and one (1) siren alert would be fine with me...
I just feel for those with little babies whom probably don't get alot of sleep anyways then have to deal with freak voice and 2 sirens...That stinks!! I had to deal with my 14 yo, 9yo, and 5yo...that was bad enough...oh where was hubby?? Oh yea right next to me SLEEPING!!
So here is my vent for the day...thanks for listening and now it's time for a nap, being I've been up for 10 hours already!!

Oh and I'm trying to do a whole blog remodel...anyone have any thoughts??? I would love to hear them!! I need some ideas!!

She does play the drama queen bit quite well though...
Yesterday she told my hubby to "get off the couch....good God man do something!!!!"

So yea she's a drama queen, but really causes no "drama"....

So I just thought all the Drama had finally settled down, I could relax and take a breather and enjoy life but sadly I was wrong.
Please follow along as I tell you a little TRUE story......

Now, I'm not going to name anyone by their actual name but for those of you who do know me you will know my characters and I'll let their actions speak for themselves.

On Thursday June 4th 2009, the last day of school and the beginning to my “relaxing” summer…I received a text message from my son's coach explaining that he and another teammate were suspended from the Championship tournament being held Friday-Sunday June 5th – 7th, (which I've already paid for) and any future tournaments.

The reason for the suspension: "accusations, statements, and complaints from other parents". So after reading this, I start questioning.....Ummmm why a text and NOT a phone call?

And furthermore, sense my son is being suspended, what on earth has he done?

This is pretty serious and I would have appreciated a phone call and a chance to talk over such allegations with the head coach himself.
After trying to reach my husband by phone and no answer I was left in complete disarray.
Until my he called 5 minutes later to tell me that he had been called by the coach (after the text was sent out) and further informed me that our son was being suspended due to gossip about me, or from me, by the other parents on the team.

So let me get this straight???

MY SON is being punished for something that I "supposedly" said??


Really???

I can only assume they have nothing better to do with there time then to listen to hear say and react like an adolescent themselves.
The fact that a Championship tournament was approaching and a nine year old boy was excited about playing in it must have never crossed their minds.

I was (and STILL am) shocked!!!!!

So after discussing with my husband about all that is happening, he goes to practice to confront all 3 coaches, and ask them why??

I think we at least deserve that!!!

He wanted to know exactly why our son was suspended.....
The answer…"Oh he is a discipline issuse"

Really???

This was the first either my husband or myself have ever heard of this from a coach.

There is no warning?? Where's the board meeting about his behavior??

Answer…"Oh well he's not “really” a discipline problem, it's more your wife, and what we've heard she has been saying".

Okay so YOU, YOURSELF heard her say what exactly????
Answer…“Ummm , well, no...not us, our wives have heard stuff from so and so, basically the other parents on our team...

Oh so this is HEAR-SAY??? From the coaches wives...

You never actually heard my wife say anything??
No answer.......
So if she has “supposedly” said something someone didn’t agree with, don’t you think there are other ways of handling this instead of dragging an innocent child into this???
Again no answer......
I’m so glad I didn’t bring him with me tonight to hear what you had to say…

Okay so let me get this straight???

You are going to punish my child, for again “hear-say” and so called gossip....that you, your wives, and the other players mom’s don't like ....

Seriously????

My husband talks with them for awhile and the coaches start seeing how crappy and unfair this is....Finally!!!
So the head coach is then asking my hubby to bring our son to the tournament...that his suspension has been lifted...

Also, 2 out of 3 coaches actually apologized to my husband. The 3rd one, "the business manager" not so much, apparently he was under the impression he did nothing wrong.

The head coach then explains that my husband may bring my son but that I’m to stay home…
My husband reacts with “I’m sorry but I'm not coming with out my wife".....

This an actual quote directly from the head coach himself....

"If she comes to the game, I'll bench him"!!

Can you freakin believe that???
And just a side note: For those of you that do know me and my husband...
No bail money was needed....HeeHee!!!

If I come to my own son's game to see him play, the head coach will bench my son!!!

OMG!!!
I was absolutely speechless, when my husband told me this later that night....

So to make a long story short, my son's suspension was lifted but the other boys' was not...

How unfortunate for these young players who did nothing wrong....

On Saturday my husband and I went to the Championship game (by ourselves - my husband was not about to allow our son back into this scenario to be used as a pawn again!) to show support for our team and to show everyone at that game, that we were not going to be bullied out.

We sat with the other suspended boys parents (because we were lumped together in this mess) and watched our team loose both games...
Oh and the head coach, he wasn't even at the games....he was working another job at a concert....But to be on the safe side he hired an off-duty police officer to "keep the peace" as the cop told us....while he himself could not be there.
Omgosh!!!
Cause we were going to (wink, wink) meet in the parking lot later to fight?? haha
How insane!!!
Not to mention a waste of his money.
The night was not a total waste, we did make a friend… the "officer" hung out with us and even took a smoke break with my hubby and the other parents...He even commented that this was a "joke"

That was a little over the top...like we would stoop to their level?? Really how old are we???

We behaved like adults...we went, cheered on the team, and left....We didn't go to cause problems, we went to show our support for our son’s team.

Our son will be fine as long as he is NEVER , EVER apart of this team or any other team this coach is affiliated with.
The saddest part is not that they accused me of "gossip" or that I lost (what I thought were) really good friends....
No, the saddest part is that two young boys lost a chance to play for a Championship they worked for this whole season for and can never get back...and that they may not ever want to play again for fear they may get "suspended" for something their parents allegedly did.....

I know, I know....I left my poor bloggin buddies to fend for themselves...
I'm sorry, life has thrown me some big ole' sour lemons lately and I've been trying to make lemonade, but I have no sugar....
So hopefully now that summer is officially here, well at 1:00 p.m. today, when my babies get out of school..I'm hoping to be back to normal....Well as normal as you can get with 3 kiddos and a house full of...Drama!!! What?? Like you didn't know....

Okay, so enough about why I've totally bailed on ya...

I suppose y'all will want to know what I've been up too, for ummm 2 months, Gosh I really didn't think it was that long...(sigh) OMG I'm so sorry!! Okay so yes I will totally catch you up on our lives...and of course all the Drama!!!

Plus I had to get those boots!!! Love those!!!

Okay so apparently I've acquired some magically twisted evil power that enables me to bring death to any appliance/electronic device I need, and on some level, must have to survive...

Example one
My daughter cooks some pancakes for breakfast Saturday morning...perfectly fine
I go to cook some yummy pancakes for breakfast for me...I cooked them for 10 minutes, still frozen.... Nice, no pancakes and now I need a new microwave... yip.freakin.ee

Example two
I use my ipod daily for the gym, Monday works great, jammin as I'm in horrible pain, but whatever, it worked.
Wednesday, nothing....no sound, no pictures, and it's charged...but nothing, nodda...great. wonderful.....gee what next??

Example three...should of kept my mouth shut!!!
Saturday my computer is working fine...shut it down that night, totally fine...
Sunday morning dead as a doorknob...
Hubby is guessing the motherboard went out..yeah I have a few mother words to say to that, but I'll spare you.

Now I have hubby's laptop and it's so not the same as my computer....(sigh) I'm just gonna get another hard drive and hope Geek Squad can undo my magical blunder ....Dang I love MY computer, all my blog friends are in there!!!

So I mean really, WTH is wrong with me??? Seriously...Did I pick up an evil appliance/electronic curse somewhere?? If so, can it be reversed???

Well I've been told all bad things come in 3's (huh??....never really thought about that...3 kids, I wonder???)
Sooo...Ummm, guess what?? I'm done, had my fill of this...
jeesh...it's 3 already!!!

WAIT!!!!
oh crap, my cell phone just fell off the desk, great.
back flew off, it's somewhere...
battery's under my chair...OMGosh, this is getting serious and ridiculous!!!
Why??? Why, my computer and now my cell...

Okay I'm going before hubby needs a new laptop.....

Why can't I break handbags and shoes this way???
They are waaaay more fun to shop for!!!

Things I've learned recently:

1. Husbands (MEN in general) do not understand the indescribable value of getting something on sale. Yes, we don't really need whatever...but come oooon, it's 50-75% off!!!
We are talking "SALE" here!!!
When we, as woman, see that good of a deal (on anything) we cannot help ourselves, we get this shopping high...and like any good addict, we must have it!!!!
Men, they just don't get it....
And my happiness.
Well how can you PUT a price on that?
I'll tell you how, Michael Kors Redding Drawstring Satchel, in Red....

2. An entire bottle of shampoo does not make NEARLY as many bubbles as one thinks it would when emptied into a full bathtub of water.
While I never had the balls to actually try this as a child...my youngest child? She does, errr....ummm...did.

3. While running late for baseball practice, it's not so good to ask your son if he has his pads & helmet....
Ummm Mom we don't wear pads or a helmet in baseball....
Oh.
Oh yea..
umm haha..
Just kidding!!!

4. Ceiling fans can take quite a beating from footballs, basketballs, and most recently baseballs and still not fall down.

5. Given enough Starbucks latte one can.....
take Kaitlyn to dance practice,
Nathan to baseball practice,
then Kaitlyn to softball practice,
Drag Brooklyn everywhere with me, screaming and crying that she wanted to stay home....
work on dinner, (i.e. drive-thru)
Insert more lattes here
check homework,
do laundry,
make all take baths/showers
and still manage to make it to bed by midnight!!!

6. Soap operas can totally make you a more well-rounded person. I've picked up quite a bit of lawyer terminology lately, with the whole Gloria going to prison, then not....storyline on Young and the Restless.

7. Gum, candy, even red wine can be removed from the carpet.
Pink glitter nail polish and Sharpie marker however, cannot.
Nor can they be removed from clothing, my comforter on my bed, or the dog's hair....
Just FYI.

8. According to Brooklyn, the WHOLE can of hairspray can definitely double as air freshener.
Never mind that the dog is now part of the wall, as she cannot move off if it...
But at least she looks good with her pink glitter nail polish!!!

9. After this Spring Break, I WILL be voting yes for year round school next time it's on the ballot!!!

10. Boys due have just as much drama as girls just not the same kind of drama....and they get over it waaaay faster.... and usually without any hair pulling.

So see, as we age we still learn something new everyday, even if it's totally worthless knowledge....

In "The Devil Wears Prada", a young woman finds herself employed as an assistant to the monster of all bosses. She's sooo excited and wants to do everything right and make her boss happy!!!

BUT:

This boss leaves her incomplete and ridiculous messages, requiring her to make a fool of herself.

This boss is rude, picky, and nothing is ever good enough.

This boss expects all employees to read her mind, and then when they don't, there is going to be hell to pay.

This boss makes tons of unreasonable demands...she even wakes up her assistant in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to make MORE demands.

By the middle of the movie, the assistant is exhausted, frustrated, and frankly, feeling a little crazy.

Are you seeing why this seems so FAMILIAR?

Here's a hint: These days, I do not have a boss paying me money to put up with any of her/his crap. Instead, I am now working as an assistant to 3 bosses, and they demand that I work for FREE. Not only free but no vacation time and definitely no sick time off!!
Plus I'm on call 24/7...
WTH??
Is this what I signed up for??

Now, mind you, I LOOOOVE my kiddos...
I do not REALLY think they are the devil in anyway, shape, or form....Well 2 outta 3 anyways...

And MOST of the time, being THE MOM and all, I like to think I am the boss.

But....
The similarities, really??
They are irrefutable.
I'm guessing you've got the idea, but I'll give you a few examples anyway.

I totally make a fool of myself, on my children's behalf, on a daily basis. Using my shirt to wipe anyone's dirty whatever....Walking around Wal-Mart with 3 kids yelling about what cereal/juice/ice cream/cookies they wanted or didn't want....having my daughter tell me not to dress like a grandma when I go to her school....yikes when did I EVER dress like that??
Or my favorite time was while going to the bathroom at Target,
Brookie and Katie go in 1st and are waiting for me as the line was kinda long and they didn't see I had to wait...So they are finished and then I get asked VERY LOUDLY, by Brooklyn....

"Mama are you going POOP???"

Dear God....

According to my children, I should read minds! For example, dressing Brooklyn goes something like this:

Me - Handing her shorts and shirt
Brooklyn - NOT THAT SHIRT!!!
Me - Then which one?
Brooklyn - The kitty one!!!
Me – OK here's the kitty
Brooklyn- NOT THAT KITTY ONE! THE OTHER KITTY ONE!!!!
Me – OK Fine. Here.
Brooklyn - NO!!!! I DO IT!!!!
Me - I leave the room so she can do it herself
Brooklyn- NO! MOMMY HELP ME!!!!
Me - Going away
Brooklyn- Lays on floor kicking and screaming for me to 'help' her
Me - Pouring a little Vodka in with my Red Bull, is 7:30 to early to drink???

Our breakfast, lunch, dinner, bath, and bed routines pretty much play out the same way. I'll spare you the details.
In general, spending a lot of time with my toddler is like living with a little, miniature drunk person.
She can't speak coherently and when she does she sometimes uses cuss words and has been know to smoke crayons...
She wets her pants at random, not so much anymore...but I still have extra clothes in the back of the 'burban...
always nursing a drink, heaven forbid if you leave home without a bottle of something...
likes to get naked for no apparent reason,
she's constantly falling down and running into things,
and can be totally happy, singing and dance one moment, yet laying on the floor yelling, kicking, and screaming the next.

I'm giving her about two more years to sober up and quit smoking before I seek professional help.....

My sweet little girl had fluid on her lungs and needed help to breath....
She got better and worse and finally much better....
She got to go home, 8 days later...and at only 6 pounds and 2oz...
My tiny tiny girl...


Then somehow time flew bye....in a blink...
She's 1 year

Then 2 years old

How I don't know but she turned 3 years old


I tried to stop it but she forced herself to turn 4 years old.



and then today...5 years later
She gets up this morning and says..."Mom, it's my birthday!!!...
I know your 5 today!!!
Mom look at this...(points to herself)

"Mom, does this look 5 to you?"

Yes, this (herself) looks 5 to me...hahaha!!

Today she is 5...OMG she's 5

FIVE!!!!

Her 5th birthday....How did this happen???
My baby girl is 5 today..(sniff...sniff...crying!!!)
Sorry I have to keep saying it, to make myself believe it...
She's going to start Kindergarten in less than 6 months..
She wears "big girl" sizes now, and call me "mother" WTH???
