She was moved to NICU by 5 p.m.
My sweet little girl had fluid on her lungs and needed help to breath....
She got better and worse and finally much better....
She got to go home, 8 days later...and at only 6 pounds and 2oz...
My tiny tiny girl...


Then somehow time flew bye....in a blink...
She's 1 year

Then 2 years old

How I don't know but she turned 3 years old


I tried to stop it but she forced herself to turn 4 years old.



and then today...5 years later
She gets up this morning and says..."Mom, it's my birthday!!!...
I know your 5 today!!!
Mom look at this...(points to herself)

"Mom, does this look 5 to you?"

Yes, this (herself) looks 5 to me...hahaha!!

Today she is 5...OMG she's 5

FIVE!!!!

Her 5th birthday....How did this happen???
My baby girl is 5 today..(sniff...sniff...crying!!!)
Sorry I have to keep saying it, to make myself believe it...
She's going to start Kindergarten in less than 6 months..
She wears "big girl" sizes now, and call me "mother" WTH???
I totally hate that!!

1. My ride home with Brooklyn...

Hope everyone had a very happy heart day!!! We had of course more Drama than we could handle...Marky and I took Nate and Koda (he spent the night) to Lowe's on Saturday morning for the kids build and grow workshop....They made a sweet little heart trinket box...It was too cute and the boys had alot of fun making their boxes...

Then KP (Koda's Dad) calls me and tells me what we've all been praying wouldn't happen....
Sweet Janice's father passed away....
He was doing sooo much better then, had a turn for the worst Friday night. Sweet Janice and her family, are of course, devastated. Her extended family lives far away and they spent the weekend making plans. Missy and I spent most of Saturday with her and the boys...Doing all the stuff good friends do...Making her eat something, cleaning, laundry, answering phone calls, and hugging her when she needed it...and of course me trying to make her laugh, cause as Truvy says..."Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion." and I tried to keep that in mind...as Missy and I tried to comfort her and clean she kept telling us to "stop cleaning" and of course we'd continue....I'm sure I will need both of you one day, so Sweet Janice you can make it up to me then...deal?? K, then it's settled...and Mis, I need you now...This remodeling crap is for the birds..there is sheet rock dust on everything!!! Ugh!!!
So any-whoo sweet Janice's family left this morning by plane and will be gone all week. Our thoughts and prayers are with ya Janice, and all your family too ....I know you are dealing with alot right now, but we are here for you....Whatever you need!!!
Please include my sweet friend Janice in your prayers as well, she will need all of our strength to get through this and come home. Thank you my bloggin friends I really do appreciate it and I know Sweet Janice and her family does too.
To end on a half-way funny note, cause ya know me....
my life = never boring....
Hubby and I are on day 3 of this "let's redo our bedroom project"...New paint, floors, paint the doors, furniture...etc..
This is our Valentines present to each other....but I'm thinking we both got the shaft!!!
It's been a whoopin plus some....
Yea it was going to be a weekend thing...no so much!!
So I will keep you posted as to what, and when it is finished...Friday??? Maybe??
As for now, I'm going to hang out in my new bedroom (aka the living room) and wait for the floors to dry...again

Why I have no idea....
So here it goes.....

1. I love love love Whoppers* candy and Laffy Taffy's, can eat them everyday and sometimes I do!!

2. I would rather drink water with lemon than anything else, well expect for my wine evenings...

3. Before I was born and as a kid my parents, grandparents, Aunt, & Uncle (even some cousins) either owned and/or worked at a Dairy Queen.

4. I have panic attacks going over very high overpasses and bridges. I can't breath and my wrist, hands, and fingers hurt....My husband and kids sooo love to make fun of me for this...

5. Before I was married, I HARDLY ever ate red meat...I mean almost never!!!
But then I married someone who had cattle in his backyard...WTH???

6. I have a addiction to Gymboree clothes, shoes, socks, panties, hair bows, etc......
I do not wish to discuss it any further....I've admitted it so there, I'm done....

moving on....

7. I love gifts bags...All shapes, sizes, colors...and I keep all bags that are given to me or to my kids, and the tissue paper too.

8. My all time most favorite movie ever.
Grease
I know every word (Grease is the word is the word...Oh, sorry) of dialogue and every song in the movie...When I was little I had red high heels, black silky pants, a perm, and wanted to smoke..

9. It took me like 6 months to learn to drive a 5-speed...

10. I have one tattoo, and this will be the only one...It's on my foot, it's a purple daisy...
I ain't gonna lie to ya, it hurt like a mo' fo' and anybody who tells you it didn't, is sadistic and mean.

11. I soooo wanted to elope and get married under a water fall in Hawaii....Skip the whole wedding mess...
My Mom said, go...see ya...have fun!!
Hubby said, nooooo we have to stay here and get married in front of everyone...
So we did....Still waiting on my waterfall babe??!!!

12. My most favorite job as a teen was working in a tanning salon, super fun and you got to tan for free, *bonus!!!

13. I love flip flops, and wear them almost year round.....but ONLY Old Navy's and Reefs...
They are the bomb'

14. I take borrow pens from Doctors offices, I love those stinkin big ole' fat pens!!!

15. I love post it notes!!! All shapes, colors, and sizes...I put them everywhere!!

16. I have bought (and still do) many birthday, wedding, baby shower, etc. gifts on the way to the party/wedding/shower and totally packed it in the car with tissue paper and signed the card....

17. My hair has been all colors....
red, blonde, grey, purple, orange, white, brown, green
But really, who's hasn't??

18. I have Tarot cards and I know how to give a reading....
No, I'm not into all that freak stuff...I just can read them and make sense of it all....
Don't ask it was a fluke thing and it just happened....Okay??? 6th sense, ummm maybe??

19. I have stood on a suspension bridge, in Colorado, for all of 2 seconds and I cried...It. was. very. scary.

20. I still love to watch Disney's The Emperor's New Groove...It is my FAVORITE Disney movie!!!

21. As a little girl I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader...and I had the big hair, outfit, and pom poms to prove it!!

22. I clip coupons all the flippin time and organize them all so neatly in my coupon thingy....But then I get to the store and either forget the coupons all together or just plain forgot the damn organizer at home!!

23. I get a ton of magazines and I keep 'em....
I keep ALOT of them...
You need back issues of something, I probably got it.
Some do go to school to be recycled....and I'm telling ya, if they ever start a contest at school for the class with the most pounds of paper....We are sooooo winning!!!

24. I don't like coffee at home, only Starbucks and only when I'm really in the mood....

25. (woo-whoo last one!!) I must have a pretzel at Target and/or at Sam's whenever I go shopping...
It's like their calling my name...Yumm, wish I had one now...

Whew...That was a whoopin', I need a blog rest....

My awesome shoppin buddy and BFF, Tracy and her hubby, on their Anniversary!!!

So we had dinner with friends Saturday night and it was sooo fun!!!
The whole Drama Crew went to Sweet Janice and KP's house for dinner.
Missy, Jeremy and their kiddos came too. We had some much needed friend time.
It was Missy and Layton's birthdays (well close enough) so we HAD to celebrate!!

So after we ate and had ice cream cake, yes that was the official "birthday" cake...
Oh it was sooo yummy...
Ummm by the way Mis, your awesome!!!
We were hanging out and talking, the we started wondering where our boys were...
I bet you can guess where....

Yea, didn't see them all night...
Any-whoo
We did get to see Layton's new birthday gift...
Oh she is sooo stinkin cute!!!
Bloggin friends this is Winnie...or as Layton calls her "Whin-A-Fred" (don't ask)
Okay so you talked me into it, Layton wanted to name her Oprah, I have no idea why, I guess he likes her...
So then Mom (AKA sweet Janice) says ummm no, you might offend someone, how about Winfrey??
He likes it but then Layton comes up with Whin-A-Fred, and well it just stuck...
But I like her nickname Winnie, so that's what I'm calling her....
OMGosh she is adorable, and sooo tiny. Everyone just loves her!!! Just ask Brooke...

So after playing with Winnie, we all felt all warm and fuzzy inside....no really, she's that cute!!!
Then Mr. Layton starts playing his guitar, and he is good!!!
He always plays me 80's hits that I love, he's very talented!!!

We had such a good time, the guys (our hubby's) were all held up in front of the T.V. watching some crazy UFC fight, ugh!! We were soooo not watching that!!
So while the guys were watching that, Sweet Janice and I dressed up the dogs...hee hee...
Ranger Rick & Whin-A-Fred didn't mind, they were very happy....We think..
Don't judge us....



So as the evening is winding down, Brooklyn finds a board game and of course, wants to play...Well guess who she goes to...Yep the only one who doesn't know the power of a little girl.....

Oh yeah, Brooke suckered KP in big time with the Candy Land ploy....
She's good, I'll give her that!!!
So it was about time to leave, Marky Mark had just got home earlier and KP had already played like 18 games of Candy Land, and Missy was ready to go to bed....So we start calling for the boys to come downstairs.....
But getting them away from the Xbox was easier said than done....
Plus this is what was blocking the stairway....

It's like she just makes herself at home, no matter where we are...Good thing they like us over there!!
But finally after several "can I spend the nights" and "can Koda/Nathan spend the night", we (all of us) went home.
Thanks again my sweet friends for a great evening, lots of laughs, and ice cream cake were great therapy for all of us!!! We have to do it next weekend for sure.

Oh and just a quick update.....
Sweet Janice's father is doing soooo much better!!! He's out of ICU and he is getting stronger each day. Thank you to all my sweet readers for your thought, prayers, and kind words...I really do appreciate it and so does Janice, Kreyton and their families!!!

So I pick up my daughter, Brooklyn, from pre-k today and she is not in a good mood at all....So as we are getting into the car I notice she is very upset and sorta pouting,
and being the wonderful Mommy that I am, I ask her
"What is wrong with you??"
"AHHHHHHHH" Mom, I'm soooo mad at Aidan...
Oh.My.Gosh.
"Okay, well calm down and tell me what happened...."

"Well, he says that I'm dating a three-year old and that I better give him by cell phone number....ugh!!! I'm soooo over this place and these people...Can we just go to another class??"

Oh good Lord....did she say dating??? Wait...wait...what cell phone??? She doesn't have a cell phone?? Let alone a cell phone "number" And WTH does she mean 'these people" where'd she get that from??

So, I'm curious....
"How are you dating a three-year old, why did he say that??"

"I don't know, but Aidan says I am and well, I think it's crap!!!
Oh. My.

"Well ummmm" (totally lost for words, as I want to crack up laughing right now)
"Brooklyn, Mommy really doesn't like you saying that, it was not very nice...."

"Well, Aidan is not very nice...and I don't care...Can you please just move me classes!!!"
Okay ummm obviously she's been listing to her sister and I talk about Katie changing her math class....Okay make mental note to never talk in front of Brooklyn again....

By now it's sooo stinking funny to see her sooo put out with the fact that I'm not going to move her "classes" and so I start to laugh and
I. can't. stop.
It's too funny!!!
So she gets even MORE mad, and now it's at me...

"It's not funny!!! I don't want to date a three-year old!!! He can't even write his name...."
Still laughing
"Moooooommmmmmm, listen to me, serious (that's what she said) this is why I have to change a class."

"No Brooke your fine, I'm not changing your "class", besides he's in another room and you only see him at lunch and recess. You can manage..."

Silence....
Oh thank you God, we are pulling into the drive-way.....

FINE. MOM. WHATEVER!!!.....
Then as she is getting out of the car, I hear her say, kinda under her breath...
"Well, he is sooo not getting my cell phone number!!!"
