Okay, Okay I know some of you are gonna think I'm crazy for posting this, but for us Texans...This weather we are having is waaay cold!!! Like it was 23 this morning...Burrrr
We here at Drama central (well mainly me) are totally bummed cause we have an ice day today....So no school, actually this ice means no anything today..
Look what I found on my back porch this morning, kinda crazy to see that huh??
So me and the kiddos are gonna stay here (like I have a choice) and keep warm...
I'd love to say it was gonna be a nice quiet day of catching up on homework, reading, and cleaning...but that would soooo not even be my life...hey I can dream right??
It will be more like arguing, fighting, and begging (by me) for them to pick up their clothes off the floor...
No, it will probably be worse...I'm just sayin'
But hopefully this ice is melting as I type and everyone can go back to school tomorrow!!!
And on another note....
All of you have heard me talk about my friend sweet Janice and her family....
Well I don't ask a lot of you my bloggin friends but I do need to ask one small request, please...
Her father has taken ill very suddenly and I would really appreciate if you could just think of her and her family at this time. They really need all the strength, love, and support God can give them.
Janice and her family mean a lot to me and my family, so if you could just include them in your thoughts & prayers, during this extremely difficult time, I would be so grateful....
I know they are in mine....
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
XOXOXOXO

So we are all in route to Ft.Hood to see my cousin, Brandon before he goes to Iraq, again....
It was kinda fun in the 'burban...just me, Mom, and the kids...and the DVD player...Thank goodness for that invention!!!
It was only a couple of hours there and we were on base....
Well not exactly "on base"......
We were near the entrance to the base, more like at the check-in building...
We had to get a temporary pass to get actually on the base...Cause me being a private citizen and all I apparently can't just "walk" on base...
Okay whatever...
So Kate and I go in to get a temporary pass and Mom, Nate, and Brooke wait in the car....
We walk in.......
Yea, nightmare!!!
Katie and I went in to get our pass and were greeted by no less than 100 people.
Great, surely everyone can't be here for a temp pass, can they???
Yep, they can....
We took a ticket and stood there....Katie then says Mom, what number do we have??? They are calling number 659.....
Oh well honey great news...
We are moving into this building!!!
We are just gonna live here cause we are number 726......
and they are NEVER gonna call us, welcome home!!!
She was not amused...
So after about 40 or so minutes and another 75 people walk in, we are up to number 682..gee, is this how Wal-Mart gets their ideas on how many check out's to open??? I'm just sayin'
Really their are 2, yes 2, people working on temporary passes...
OMG....
1 hour, #700...Ahh finally in the 7's
Then one of the Army guys stands up and says, if your just here for today and can wait, the gates open at 10:30p.m. or he says, if you just need a one day pass these MP's (who by the way have been just sitting there the whole time)can issue those for you.....
WHAT???
Mad rush to the counter....#705
Waiting in yet another line....
#708
AHHHH this is utter torture!!! Then at last we are next for the MP's line..
So after answering his many questions, there for a minute I thought he may want my blood type and DNA, giving him by reasons why I'm in front of him, my driver's license, insurance, and registration....DANG!!!
But finally we got our pass...
We're walking out..an hour and 1/2 later....whoo.freakin.who
Oh that sucked!!!
So now we get to go "on base"...
Finding Brandon's house was another adventure in itself as ALL and I mean ALL of the houses are exactly the same...
So that was fun,
but we did find it....
Brandon and my Aunt were waiting on us....It was so fun to see him and his wife, Victoria. All of her family was there too, so it was a packed house ....
After visiting for a while I wanted to go to the PX Mart to see what all they had, actually I was dying to see if the prices were really much cheaper then Department store.....So Victoria's Mom took us around the base and to the store.....
Here we are at the PX Mart...
So shopping was okay, no great awesome deals...Boo-Hoo...Oh well
We headed back to Brandon's house and had pizza and got to visit with him and hear some cool and kinda scary stuff about traveling and living in Iraq.
Then before we knew it, we needed to get going...
The military has the soldiers go into lock down before they leave so we decided to go before he did....But we did get to take some great shots of us with Brandon...
Here's me and our family's Army solider...We are sooo proud!!!
My Mom and Brandon....
So after many tears and good bye's we were heading back to our house......
Whew, that was a whoopin...
But my Mom was still here and we had two more days together until she went home....I think we shall shop, that seems to cure all...
Yes we all need a little retail therapy!!!
I wonder if they've called my number yet?????

Hey my long lost bloggin friends....
Sorry it's been like...ummm, a month since I last wrote....
I'm soooo incredibility sorry, my life has been one heck of a roller coaster ride lately and maybe, just maybe...I can finally get off this freakin ride!!!
Let me start at the beginning...This is a long one, sorry but I need to catch you up...
Christmas, there enough said...moving on...
Dad's surprise visit the day after...Woo-Whoo Dad's here!!! Oh but wait, I have a million things to do!!!
Ahhh what the heck, I'll get them done later, right...Besides my Dad's here...and it's not every day I get to see him....
Here is my brother, Dad, and me after lunch...
Dad left....Then I got stupid....
New Year's Eve...Oh Yea..What are we doing???
Oh I know let's have a party with some of our friends here!!!
I think I must've been on meds that day...
Let's get party favors, cute champagne glasses for everyone, poppers for the kids, streamers, and decorations...blah blah blah....like I said, I was on some New Year's high!!!
Then we got food, snacks, champagne, jello (hee hee you know why) the whole works....Here's just a little bit of my 2009 decorations....
So we had a New Year's eve party/dinner/bar/and got PS3 burnout...That which consisted of waaay to much Rock Band....Here's the boys jammin, and Mis saying it was a little TOO LOUD!!!
Here's another of Koda workin the guitar...his bro would be sooo proud, ha ha!!!
Then KP goes off the deep end....he pulls out a "karaoke machine"
What the???
Where did he get that???
Oh at Target, today huh??
wow.
neat.
can't.
hardly.
wait.
Oh how sweet Janice was not so sweet after hearing that....
So guess what happens next, Yep KP lost his freaking mind and wanted all of us to go with him....
Here he is doing his best Aerosmith...
And then here's Jeremy & Janice after seeing KP's best version of Aerosmith's Don't Wanna Miss A Thing...Jeremy laughed so hard he spilled his drink....We. Were. Dying. It was so dang funny, I wish I'd thought to capture that Kodak moment on video....
So finally after KP practically begged us to, we got microphones and choose a song...Janice was sooo not happy about this...I however was game...Sure why not?? What's the worst that could happen??
THIS IS THE WORSE THAT DID HAPPEN!!!! I was way into this singing thing, again I blame the meds and that dang "love is a battlefield"song!!!
And of course KP's afraid I stole his thunder, he wants JP to sing and she is NOT having any part of it....
So it's almost midnight, time to see the ball drop right??
Nope.
Not at this party we are too busy jamming to rock band and singing with KP's karaoke machine...We do stop to have a great toast and share the moment with our friends...
At least the girls do anyways.....Where are the guys???
Oh okay, gotcha....
Thanks for a great night and the best time ringing in 2009 my BFF's, we had a blast!!!
Ok so got through New Year's and Mark's still home, which is great I need all the help I can get, so just when I think I'm ahead, I fall 10 steps behind, again....

My Mom's here, good thing we put all the Christmas stuff up the night before she got here...
Oh well,
I'm sure she seen worse...she went to my brother's house first..hee hee!!
It was sooo great to have Mom here, and my Aunt came with her too to see her son and his family in Ft.Hood. My cousin is going back to Iraq (for the 3rd time) she wanted to see him before he left...so she went to Ft.Hood for the week, while Mom was here with us..
It was so great, I miss her like crazy.....
We did everything....
We went shopping, ate like crazy, made my Grandmother's peanut brittle, shopped some more, and I got nothing accomplished....
